Aniston, AL - Atlanta, GA
Efter ännu en sovmorgon lämnade vi Aniston för att förflytta oss de cirka 13 milen österut till Atlanta, Georgia. Tack vare våra kupongböcker hittade vi för en gångs skull ett hotell inne i downtown. Ett toppenhotell som vi varmt kan rekommendera - Baymont Inn and Suites. Riktigt mysigt och trevligt och till ett fantastiskt pris även utan kupong. Mycket tack vare den trevliga damen i hotellreceptionen blev vi genast välvilligt instälda till Atlanta.
Vi begav oss direkt ut på stan och i riktning mot CNN's huvudkontor för att gå deras "Behind the Scenes Tour" - En 55 minuters rundvandring där man fick se hur arbetet med att sända nyheter 24 timmar om dygnet går till.
Efter CNN begav vi oss över den vackra Centennial Olympic Park där bland annat barnen badade i OS-ringsfontänen, och bort mot det nya World of Coca Cola. I likhet med många andra byggnader i Atlanta ser det ut som om World of Coca Cola utgörs av en ombyggd OS-arena.
På Coca Cola muséet fick vi bland annat se en 4D-film och smaka på en massa konstiga drycker som Coca Cola marknadsför runt om i världen. Det var tur att det det fanns toaletter i närheten :)
En anstäld sa att det tog ca 1½ timme att gå igenom hela muséet. Oss tog det 3 timmar och vi var de sista kvar i souvernirshoppen när de stängde för dagen!
För att äta middag begav vi oss till Underground Atlanta. Det är ett område som är beläget en våning under Downtown. Här åt vi middag på Rocket Burgers. Kan varmt rekommenderas! Goda nygjorda burgare i 50-talsmiljö och med varsin liten jukebox på varje bord. När du beställer får du en quarter av servitrisen för att kunna välja en låt från jukeboxen!
Vi trivs så bra i den här stan så vi stannar en dag till!
